We are delighted to announce that Professor Matteo Spagnolo of the University of Aberdeen has been appointed as the new Director of SAGES – starting May 1st 2023.

Professor Spagnolo is well known to SAGES, having contributed significantly as a forum leader and as a member of our Research and Innovation Committee for many years. We can be assured that Matteo has a strong grasp of the value of SAGES to its members and to geoscience across Scotland and beyond!
