Over the years, SAGES fora have been a great opportunity for SAGES members across multiple institutions to network and collaborate on specific scientific fields, techniques of shared interest, stakeholder engagement and more. They have provided a platform for the discussion of scientific challenges, the share of tools and knowledge, the shaping of new collaborative research grant proposals.
While a number of running SAGES fora were established last year, we are pleased to announce a call for a few, new, additional fora. We invite our SAGES members to consider getting together with colleagues from their own and other SAGES institutions who share a common interest, within, across or beyond the SAGES themes, and submit a short application for the creation of a new forum.
Each forum can have up to two convenors and is expected to have at least 10+ listed representative members from as many SAGES institutions as possible. We encourage applications from enthusiastic and engaged people, regardless of their academic position, stage of career, etc. The new fora will last until the end of phase 3 (i.e., for the next 1.2 years) and the applicants can request justified funding from SAGES up to £2k for their activity.
