Funding to cover travel and accommodation costs for attendance at the Conference ‘Global Climate Challenges for a Blue Green Economy’

The conference is free to attend, we recognise that there are additional costs that delegates will incur. Consequently SAGES is making available 100 ‘SAGES 2019 Conference support grants’ (maximum £150 per person) to cover the costs of travel and accommodation for those who would otherwise face significant difficulty in obtaining financial support. The deadline for applying is the conference registration deadline of 21 November 2019.

Preference will be given to Early-Career Researchers, particularly PhD students, who are also SAGES members, but we also wish to support delegates who lack grant/institution funding, who would face higher costs of attendance due to distance travelled, or other financial constraints/circumstances. Preference will also be given to those presenting (oral or poster presentation) at the conference.

Cases will be considered following the registration deadline of 21 November 2019, and successful applicants notified promptly. Details on how to claim travel and accommodation expenses will be provided in this communication.
