The annual Best Published Paper competition is now open for papers published in 2025–2026.
The competition recognises outstanding research published in a peer‑reviewed journal (or assigned a DOI). Papers must be first‑authored by a SAGES postgraduate research member.
One paper per SAGES Theme will receive a prize of £100. Entries will be judged by Professor Brice Rea and members of the SAGES Research and Innovation Committee (RICom).

Winners will be announced at the SAGES Annual Science Meeting, to be held at Heriot‑Watt University on 4 June 2026.
