Our fora represent a flagship opportunity for SAGES members, across multiple institutions, to network and collaborate with a focus on specific research areas, and may cover a range of research from discovery, to applied including technique development, stakeholder engagement, policy and more. They continue to provide a platform for focused activity around a specific theme facilitating opportunities for networking, training, collaboration and generation of research funding applications.
SAGES currently has eight fora and this a call to announce an opportunity to establish new fora. SAGES members are therefore invited to connect with colleagues across the membership to develop their idea and complete the short application form.
Each forum should have two convenors (proposers) and is expected to have at least 10+ SAGES members “signed up” who will engage with the fora. Membership should come from at least two but ideally as many SAGES institutions as possible.
Applications are encouraged from enthusiastic and engaged groups and convenors may be at any career stage. New fora will likely run until the end of Phase 4 (31st January 2029). Applicants can request funding for up to £1.5k per annum pro-rata for their proposed activities.
