MPhys, 1st Class from University of Edinburgh

Active research projects:

Remote sensing of tropical forest degradation and regrowth through a forest degradation in Peru and Gabon (FODEX) – this PhD will research novel methods of quantifying changes in above ground biomass of tropical forests due to selective logging using interferometric SAR.

Recent publications:

In first year of PhD- no published outputs from this so far.
Currently working collaboratively on a brief communication to Nature Climate Change on fire and forest loss dynamics in South America.
MPhys work resulted in publication on medical ultrasound: "A novel ultrasound phantom to quantify the effect of slice thickness on imaging performance" available at https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/8926004
