The Real Power of Communities
Assessing the indirect and non-monetary benefit of community owned and managed energy systems: The Scottish Rev Gen model.
Aim
The indirect benefits of community renewable energy are an under-researched area within academia and are currently lacking rigorous analysis with definitive and quantitative outputs. The aim of this research is to investigate existing analytical systems and begin to design a framework to allow communities across Scotland to analyse and provide evidence of the indirect, non-monetary benefits of community energy projects, to inform the communities, and provide evidence to policymakers and funders.
