Research interests:

Geophysics and assessing the parameters involved in seabed stability and subaqueous sand morphology mobility.

Career history:

BSc (Hons) Marine science – University of the Highlands and Islands (2014-2018)
MSc (M2) Environmental fluid mechanics – Université Grenoble Alpes (2018)
Ph.D "Assessing dynamic seabed change on the UK continental shelf"- University of the Highlands and Islands (2019 – present)

Active research projects:

"Assessing dynamic seabed change on the UK continental shelf" – Ph.D

My research aims to facilitate the development of offshore construction for the renewable energy sector. The focus of this work is to document the stability of the seafloor and the potential viability for the installation of engineered structures at various locations around the UK coast. This work aims to provide a framework for future assessments and provide insights in to the mechanics of seabed stability.

"The Gulf of Corryvreckan, western Scotland: Relationships between sediment morphology and an extreme tidal flow" – Active research paper
