Innovation and Business Skills Training for NERC DTP students
At some point in your PhD/Career you will have to research real world problems, ask someone for money, write about the ‘impact’ of your work and summarise your work for a non-academic audience. learn how to do this successfully.

Impactful & effective CVs: How to communicate your academic skills to business & policy audiences
A CV is often your first opportunity to tell an employer what you can do – it’s a vital part of your job hunt. This workshop is for PhD students who would like to write an impactful CV that is relevant for recruiters from business and policy.

How to build your professional brand on LinkedIn & ECCI Spring Social
LinkedIn has been considered a revolutionary social media platform, as it is business and employment orientated and is home to the worlds largest professional network with around 500 million users. It is very popular with employers, as more and more are turning to LinkedIn to help them find a suitable candidate for a job role. It is considered the future of recruitment and this is just one of the many reasons a graduate should create a profile.
This workshop is followed by an ECCI Spring Social lunch open to start-ups, academics and third sector organisations at ECCI, come and network!

All of the above workshops will be held in the Assembly Room, ECCI, Edinburgh.
