The Challenge of Science Leadership: Influencing Others Workshop with The Barefoot Thinking Company.
The Barefoot Thinking Company has been developing and delivering science leadership training courses since 2009 with our academic partners including the Leopold Leadership Program (Stanford University, USA), Google.org, the VEGA Fellows Leadership and Communication Program (University of Lund, Sweden), The University of Toronto Science Leadership Program, and the University of Plymouth, UK.

Introduction to the 1-day workshop:

Many scientists and researchers find themselves in a position where they are expected to lead without direct authority. In addition, one of the most valuable contributions anyone can make to another person’s learning is to offer constructive feedback. Everyone should have the capacity for giving and receiving constructive feedback but the subject rarely receives the attention it deserves – possibly due to an assumption that the skills are innate. The good news is that the skills for both leading without authority and giving constructive feedback are eminently learnable.

The 1-day workshop will focus on providing you with tools and awareness based around;

Module 1: Influencing others
Module 2: Giving and receiving constructive feedback

Full workshop materials are provided on the Barefoot Thinking website
